As the only academic medical center in San Antonio and South Texas, University Hospital is home to a wide range of specialists skilled in treating children with any form of cancer or blood disorder.  Additionally, our physicians from UT Medicine collaborate with other world-renowned physicians to review and find solutions for the most complex cases.


Families affected by pediatric cancer and blood diseases need a lot of support, and that’s exactly what we offer.

The support staff at South Texas Pediatric Blood & Cancer Center includes fellows, nurse practitioners, nurse coordinators, psychologists, social workers, genetic counselors, child life specialists and translators. Children diagnosed with cancer or blood disorders continue to receive treatment from our staff after 18 years of age.
